Profitec Billing Services, a Wallingford Connecticut-based billing and back-office services provider, announces the availability of full integration with OSG Billing for invoice production alternatives. In addition to the company’s large and sophisticated in-house print facility, Profitec now supports an electronic interface to the OSG system for clients who choose to use OSG to produce their printed invoices.
“We have always respected OSG”, says Randy Minervino, Profitec’s VP Sales and Marketing. “In fact, many years ago we considered using them for all of our printing but decided to invest in an in-house operation to maintain total control. Through the years we have had several clients use them for invoice production and OSG did a good job working with our existing data stream.”
Recently, Profitec has completed the production of a records-based electronic feed that goes directly to OSG and allows them to use data provided by Profitec which can be converted into any customized invoice format agreed to between the service provider and OSG. The data also feeds downstream OSG processes such as their electronic invoice delivery system.
“The genesis of our development effort was actually the win back of a former customer, Xtel Communications from New Jersey” states Randy Minervino. “It took 13 years to regain this customer and when we did we found they were using OSG and were reluctant to modify their invoice out of concern for end-users who were accustomed to seeing their invoices in a specific format. In an effort to be a good provider we took on the development effort to meet their requirement. We now have a solid methodology to take on new customers who might prefer the OSG printing service or existing companies using OSG as part of their invoicing operations who may wish to move their billing production services to Profitec while keeping their current invoice look and associated options”.
